My beautiful daughter Sammy died from Brain Stem Death after a fall on the 27th of July 2009 at Edinburgh Royal Infirmary. My world fell apart about 2am on the morning of the 27th with a phone call telling me Sammy had an accident. Phoned the hospital and was advised to get there straight away as she wasn't expected to survive. On the drive up to Scotland I kept thinking that they had made a mistake and she was going to be ok and they were just preparing me for the worst. But as soon as got there I knew Sammy wasn't here anymore. We got to spend the whole day with Sammy and hold her, but after more tests were carried out we were told that Sammy had died. My beautiful little girl was no longer here.
She will never be forgotton and will always be my beautiful daughter who had so much to live for xxx

You Were The Pride Of Our Hearts
It's so difficult to let you go
Though death's left us no other choice
We're mourning the loss of never seeing you again
Of never hearing your precious voice
It seems that in life there are certain times
Which are more than "simply unfair"
When our hearts search out for better answers
But cannot seem to find them there
And such is the case at your passing
Contemplating the briefness of your life
All the great things that you still would have done
If you'd been granted a little more time
It isn't difficult to envision the possibilities
For look at what you'd already done
The difference you'd made in so many lives
In all that you had become
Perhaps you were simply too good for this life
So God called you back to Heaven
That your life needed no further testament
Than the goodness you'd already given
But regardless of the reason
For why you had to depart
We will miss you every single day of our lives
For you were the pride of our hearts!
Thank you for being our example
Inspiring us through your courage and drive

Hello my darling girl. Another year has gone by and now it's your 20th Birthday tomorrow! I always said I would celebrate your birthday on Christmas eve as you hated it being on Christmas day!! But being a Christmas baby made you so special honey in so many ways.
Your baby sister Emily was conceived on what would have been your 18th and I know in my heart you and god sent me a special message on that day, thank you xxx

I remember the Christmas that you opened all your presents that I had hidden from you then resealed them!!! then tried to lie when I caught you out lol. Cheeky misses :) You probably would have got away with it if I hadn't made the bed then found the DS game in your pillow :)
Yes you could be a grumpy teenager that thought your mum jumped her teenage years and didn't understand what it was like. But honey I did understand more than you will ever know. Teenage years are never easy and it's only later on in life that you wonder why you made such a fuss :)
As Sam said in her tribute about you that at the mention of Harry Potter she would always think about you. I can remember you taking the latest Harry Potter to a wedding to read!!! I had to take it off you or you would have taken it into the church also!!
You made me laugh in so many ways Sammy. You were so unique and simply you and I love you so much for being you.

so that time of year has come again where it is your birthday(xmas day) You should be here celebrating here with us but i know that cant happen.
Your still in my thoughts as always. I saw something for you the other day (all i need to do is mention harry potter) I almost got it aswell, but then the harsh reality hit me. I hope ur doing okay in heaven and really hope u celerate your birthday in style. Wow sammy 20 years old. No more teenage years aye..
I saw a picture of your baby sister emily earlier on. Shes beautiful, you would be sooooo proud. Im senting you a laten with riley-benjamin on sunday, ive told him all about you and the things we use to do. He just looks at me blankly lol as if to say mummy what are you on about. I still talk your mum on facebook when we both online. I still dont know what happened all i know is your not here with us. And it hurts because you should of been here and had more laughs and everything else.
Ill never forget you hunny, I remeber all the memories and cherise them forever and ill tell riley-benjamin about my best friend sammy mcguire.

Hi Sammy;
sorry ive not been on in a while, rileys not been very well, as im sure you know. I hope your not coursing too much trouble there, but knowing you its all fun and games.
I still think of you often and have those photos of me u and hannah when you lived in milton keynes. wow those were fun times.
Anyway ill let you get back to having fun. I will be on again soon. Still miss you and your still my best friend.
